I am delighted to inform you that our school has achieved the Sainsbury’s School Games Kite Mark Bronze Award, which recognises the school’s commitment to extra-curricular sports provision and to sports competition within school and the community. There has been plenty of P.E. taking place this term.
The weather has been kind to us for outdoor P.E. sessions! I would like to thank Miss Gilyard and Mr. Hulland for leading on P.E. as a subject and for acquiring the award for our school. Children have had the opportunity to take part in Cheerleading and Karate after school.
Tigers Trust have also been working with our Year 1 children to develop their football skills and have also been training our Year 6 footballers on Friday lunchtimes. Fit4Fun coaches have also been developing dance and gymnastic skills in our Year 5/6 children. My thanks go to Mr. Moughton, who has been coaching our footballers and arranged a football match against St. George’s Primary School on 9th October 2015. Mr. Moughton is also arranging a return match and a mini-tournament in the near future.
