As usual, there has been plenty of sport taking place at Paisley both within the classroom and through extracurricular provision. Some of Year 4 children have been benefiting from supplementary swimming sessions. Our Karate Club is still going strong and we have recruited new, Year 2 members for this term, so numbers have increased. Some children have gained a grading and some are accessing Karate lessons outside school, too.

Lily and Kacey-Lee represented Paisley at a cross-country event at Hull University on 21st March. Kacey-Lee came 30th overall and was the 2nd Hull finisher. Lily came 51st and passed several other competitors towards the closing section of the race. Both girls gained respectable midway positions overall.  Very well done to them!

Our school has also been running a ‘Change for Life’ club, which looks closely at healthy lifestyle choices and fitness. The children attending have really enjoyed the activities. The club, organised by Mr. Hulland, has been led and developed by Miss Morris and Mrs. Roberts, in conjunction with the ‘Change for Life’ coach. Both ladies have gone, ‘above and beyond’, to make the club interesting and challenging for its members. They have devised homework activities and ensured that the children have a healthy snack each week.

My thanks go to all involved and well done our children!
