Super models!

Year 5/6 have been producing some wonderful homework - with a little help from their families! We challenged the children to make a model of a London landmark over the half-term holiday. The results were spectacular!  All the children who took part received a certificate in assembly. Our winner and runners-up also received some art

Foundation Stage visit to Toys R Us

As part of our topic ‘Toys’ the foundation children visited Toys R Us. We looked at the different types of toys, how they were sorted in the shop and how much they cost. Rainbow chose a hoover and a kettle to buy for their home corner. Sunshine bought an electronic till for their role play area.

Cross country festival at St Thomas More

34 children from Key Stage Two represented the school at a cross-country festival at St Thomas more School. The children showed real determination to complete the challenging course and were a credit to the school. The Years 5 and 6 girls’ team won their team event and were presented with medals in a special celebration assembly.

Year 6 in London!

Take a look at this wonderful photograph of our Year 6 children at the gates of Buckingham Palace.  The children had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, taking a sightseeing tour and visiting the Captain Scott exhibition at the Queen's Gallery.  The Year 5 children are very much looking forward to their turn! The Elves and the Shoemaker

The full-time children from Rainbow and Sunshine recently visited Hull Truck theatre in the city centre.  They saw a production of 'The Elves and the Shoemaker'.  This was a super visit organised by the Foundation Stage staff to link with their topic 'Traditional Tales'.  It was made possible with tickets from Hull Truck's 'Schools into Theatre' programme which allows pupils

Marathon Magic!

On 26th June teaching assisstant Mrs Lison and two of her sons, James and Michael, completed the Humber Bridge Half Marathon.  They ran in order to raise money for Manchester Children's Hospital, who cared for former Paisley pupil Megan.  They raised a fantastic £1149.10 and would like to thank everyone who sponsored them.  Megan continues to
