Our School Council

Our School Council has now been elected for this academic year.
We currently have 2 School Council members for each class from KS1 and KS2.

SCHOOL COUNCIL INITIATIVES

Our elected School Councillors have been very busy. They have looked at our School Development Plan and come up with ways and ideas to support mathematics homework and learning times tables at home. These are on display in school. The children voted on a whole-school Charity focus for this academic year and decided to devote their energies to animal welfare. Each class has a collection tub and children bring any spare pennies into school.

The fundraising efforts of every class are celebrated termly. The RSPCA will be supported throughout this academic year but Paisley Primary School is very excited about having adopted an Alpaca called Toby, pictured below. The children love him, already! During this term the school council will be selecting a Donkey to sponsor. We have already raised enough funds for this! The school council will also be devoting their energies by supporting further school improvement and offering suggestions on how to improve attendance and punctuality.

As well as all of the wonderful initiatives mentioned above, Paisley Primary School Council continues to support The Macmillan Trust, and have already helped to raise funds with a coffee afternoon this term.
