Many thanks to all the parents and carers who supported us with donations to the BBC’s Children in Need Appeal.  We raised an enormous £1052 - even more than last year!  The children enjoyed many different activities including face-painting, competitions, crafts and crispy buns.  We all had a wonderful time for a good cause.  Pictured

Parents and children had a wonderful sensory experience on Messy Day.   Outside they got very messy jumping in a muddy swamp, crawling through the assault course and throwing paint bombs.  Inside they carved pumpkins, made spider lollies, picked up slimy spaghetti worms and used their hands and feet to paint!

This year’s Harvest Festival was a great success.  Many thanks to you all for your generous donations of food.  These have been collected by Lonsdale Community Centre to be shared with those in need. A big ‘thank you’ also to those parents and carers who came to support the children in the concert.  Our Year

Many thanks to everyone who came to our coffee morning in support of Macmillan nurses.  The event was really well-attended and we raised a superb £272.82. Thanks to some generous donations there were plenty of cakes to enjoy with the coffee, and our school councillors were the perfect hosts!  

[slideshow id=6]Here are some photographs from the recent Year 6 residential visit to the Robinwood activity centre.  The children had a wonderful time and were a credit to the school and to their families.  Staff at the centre described our group as one of the best ever to visit Robinwood.  All the children pushed themselves

Year 5/6 have been producing some wonderful homework - with a little help from their families! We challenged the children to make a model of a London landmark over the half-term holiday. The results were spectacular!  All the children who took part received a certificate in assembly. Our winner and runners-up also received some art

As part of our topic ‘Toys’ the foundation children visited Toys R Us. We looked at the different types of toys, how they were sorted in the shop and how much they cost. Rainbow chose a hoover and a kettle to buy for their home corner. Sunshine bought an electronic till for their role play area.

34 children from Key Stage Two represented the school at a cross-country festival at St Thomas more School. The children showed real determination to complete the challenging course and were a credit to the school. The Years 5 and 6 girls’ team won their team event and were presented with medals in a special celebration assembly.

Thanks to your generosity we have raised a super £293 for the Charlie Hook appeal.  Our support for Charlie was even noted on the Viking FM website, and the children certainly enjoyed dressing up for this worthwhile cause. Thank you  to all the parents and carers who supported us in making this donation!
