As part of their ‘Food Glorious Food’ topic Years 3 and 4 visited Chiquitos restaurant. They had some wonderful experiences, designing and making fruit juice cocktails to drink and trying all sorts ofMexican food. The children made their own fajita wraps including the new ingredients they discovered – choosing from
a very long list including jalapenos, spicy cheese and chilli beef. The cocktails were certainly needed to cool them down afterwards!
At the end of the visit the children played the traditional Mexican party game ‘piñata’ and took home a prize. We would like to thank Chiquitos for their generosity in allowing the children to experience a different culture for a day.
